We are seeking one (1) full time Teacher I for our Waukegan Early Learning Center.
Responsibilities:
Assists teacher with day to day activities for a classroom of 3-5 year olds in a NAEYC accredited program. Supports classroom teacher through active involvement with children in small and large groups. Assists with lesson planning, communicating with parents, nurturing children and helping to make sure the classroom is clean and safe at all times.
Must be able to lift, move and hold children up to 40 pounds and to fully participate in all activities with the children. Knowledge of Head Start, State Pre-K and basic computer skills is desired.
The ability to work as a team member and to demonstrate flexibility, cooperation and good communication skills.
Requirements Degree Type/Area: AA in Child Development preferred or 60 hours of college coursework with at least 15 hours in ECE.
Experience: 1 year minimum
