Responsibilities:
Determine and define scope of work and deliverables and has the ultimate responsibility for the project process from preconstruction through closeoutPredict resources needed to complete projectObtain necessary permits, approvals, and other regulatory prerequisitesDraft and submit budget based on scope of work and resource requirementsManage costs in order to meet budgetProvide direction over contracts and subcontractsManage construction schedule and activitiesRFI's, change orders, schedules, submittals, & checking quality of workIssue progress updates as needed regarding costs and timelinesEnsure work is done in compliance with all relevant building and safety codesSelect and manage subcontractors and suppliersCoordinate efforts across entire project between architects, designers, engineers, and subcontractorsRequirements:
BS or MS in Engineering or Construction Management, or similar5
years of experience in project management within constructionMust be able to work on cross-functional teams as well as independently.
Strong attention to detail, organization skills and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities.
Ability to interact professionally and effectively with managers, co-workers and construction trade workers.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer software including construction project management softwareDemonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principlesAbility to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costsHigh degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditionsStrong leadership and management skillsKnowledge of the Following a Plus:
Working knowledge of Procore, MS Project / Suretrack or PrimaveraUnderstanding of LEED, sustainability and/or BIMMUST HAVE - Education build experience.
