SummaryResponsible for reviewing quote requests and correctly identifying material, labor, equipment, outside resources, engineering requirements and delivery schedules to provide accurate quotes and estimates.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential duties and responsibilities include the followingOther duties may be assignedEvaluating the researched request for quotes (RFQ) requirements compiling it together for determining necessary material, labor, equipment, outside resources, engineering requirements, and delivery schedules.Developing detailed cost estimates, providing distinctive cost estimating procedure, completing necessary RFQ forms and setting up appropriate RFQ folders.Responding to quote requests quickly, accurately, and efficiently.Reviewing and recording the existing estimates of the company, tallying the records with previous estimates with current results, considering the difference in current estimation analysis for accurate results, etc.Maintaining the current and previous estimation records, and referring to it occasionally for ensuring the range of accuracy, compliance, and completeness in the evaluated resultsCollaborating with customers, management, engineering and production for determining the exact scope of work required in estimating report, reviewing and discussing the same with organizational heads for specific approach towards cost containmentReviewing the method / procedure adopted by the organization for estimation purpose, and determining the scope of development in the sameRequesting Costing for all outside services, material, and hardware required.Keeping track of the latest developments in estimating procedures, reviewing the same by building and maintaining relationship with vendors and customersPromoting sales of company dervices.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorilyThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Education and/or ExperienceRequired:
Minimum 2 yrsExperience sales, estimating/quoting experience in a manufacturing environment or similar environment.Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.Preferred:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
