Duties and responsibilities include:
Forecasting - Design and build predictive models and business intelligence solutions for consumer credit lending that identify profitable and unprofitable risks, trends, and fraud detection for customers providing credit lending services.
Data Mining Gather data from large data set sources for the prediction of customer behavior i.e. voluntary churn, likelihood of payment, response to an outbound campaign, fraudulent behavior, etc.
Other analytical techniques - Performance of scenario based outcomes and predications i.e. device price elasticity, predicted impact of credit deposit changes, predicted impact of device price changes.
Competencies - Tech Skills:
Masters Degree or greater in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, statistics, actuarial sciences, etc. The candidate must have a strong understanding of statistical software such as SAS or SQL.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
