Job Summary
Responsible for supporting application team members in the maintenance of database technologies by monitoring and maintaining a highly available mission critical environment.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
Provides support to application team members in the maintenance of database technologies for both current and future business requirements and high availability where appropriate.
Works with senior members of the DBA team to assess and evaluate new and emerging database technologies to find secure, faster, cost effective, and more reliable solutions for existing and proposed systems or processes.
Partners with senior members of the DBA team in conjunction with the application and security teams to ensure that database systems and applications meet availability needs, business requirements, and security guidelines. Assists in ensuring processes are well documented and has processes in place for ongoing support and maintenance.
Works on assigned projects from development through production following all established standards and processes.
Monitors environment for inconsistencies, issues, and opportunities for improvement. Communicates and executes commitments with status updates on a regular basis.
Partners with senior DBA team members to ensure standards, directions, and projects involving databases and database servers are completed successfully.
Nature and Scope
Works in compliance with established procedures and/or protocols. Identifies and resolves readily identifiable, clearly defined problems. Demonstrates skill in data analysis, techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in routine research/data.
Nature of work requires general supervision; exercises judgment. May be paired with a mentor. Work typically involves regular process checks or review of output by a coworker and/or supervisor.
May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support personnel.
Work Environment
Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about. Occasionally there may be a requirement to stoop or lift light material or equipment (typically less than 8 pounds).
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be eighteen years of age
Must pass the Drug Test
Must pass the Background Check
Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable
Education and Experience
Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline. Certification may be required in some areas. Generally 0-2 years of experience in related field OR MS/MA and generally 0-1 year of experience in related field.
Preferred Qualifications
2 or more years of dedicated experience in the field of database administration and management.
Experience handling maintenance, backup, and recovery issue resolution.
Direct experience utilizing SSIS to enable ETL connections from SQL 2012, or later, to other applications is required.
Experience in managing SQL connections to Salesforce.com and Sharepoint is a plus.
Hands on expereince designing, developing, and optimizing OLAP solutions through SSAS is a plus.
Experience managing automated business reporting through SSRS is a plus.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
